Smudged Glass Sage ESB

Another belated birthday beer, this time Albert chose to make a classic English-style ESB (Extra Special Bitter) with the intriguing addition of fresh sage! We added 4.5oz of sage at the end of boil along with East Kent Goldings and Bramling Cross hops. This all comes through with a wonderfully fruity nose; hints of lemon and berry with some fresh herbal notes, carried by a backbone of English crystal malts. A complex and refreshing brew, to be sure!
