1907 Henley’s Scotch Beer
Following a fun historical recipe, we used premium Maris Otter pale malt, specialized crystal malt, Challenger and Progress hops, and fruity dual-strain yeast all imported from the UK. Then we added 60 pounds of local RZ’s Bees honey and mulled with organic co-op ginger, coriander, and orange peels. Cozy up to the fire with this deliciously complex winter warmer. Strong, malty-sweet, bready with hints of marmalade toast, balanced by earthy/herbal/floral hop bitterness, enhanced by holiday baking spices. (Maltose) sugar and spice and everything nice!
